Hi, I'm Jordan.

Welcome to "Freed Flow." This is where I'll showcase recent newsletter articles and writings.

Recently I was listening to a podcast between Tim Ferriss and James Clear. They were running through some of their greatest hit questions when James asked:

Will your current habits carry you to your desired future?

That question stayed with me.

When I coach people, I define a habit as a decision made automatically. A choice that no longer feels like a choice. Habits are like the wiring in a house. The current is constant and unseen. Flip a switch, the current flows, the light comes on. Wake up, brush your teeth, make your coffee, the circuit runs without thought.

We have all been emotionally wired by the electrician of experience and circumstance. Childhood, culture, wins, losses, they have all laid circuits in us. Some light our way. Some keep us in the dark. And just like a house, we did not have much say in the original wiring. It was run through us long before we were aware of it. But once we are aware, the responsibility shifts. The wiring may not be our fault, but whether we leave it as it is or rework it is absolutely ours.

Wiring is never permanent. Circuits can be redesigned. One switch at a time, you can reroute the current.

This is my last newsletter for August 2025. Fall is coming, and we are beginning to look ahead toward the finish line of this year. As you do, I want to leave you with one question. Answer it with the conviction of a four year old in a Batman t-shirt:

What habit could I install that would make the rest of 2025 the best of 2025?

live freed,
Jordan
